Situated in Belgravia, Chantrey House is a Grade II Listed Building, containing an exclusive collection of fully air conditioned 1, 2 & 3-bedroom apartments.
Solution:Positive was appointed as Building Services Consultants, under a Full Design DutiesAppointment, for the first phase of the redevelopment of Chantrey House-the refurbishment of 28 apartments and communal areas.The refurbishment included the reconfiguration of the internal layouts of all the apartments, the installation of Italian
marble bathrooms, new VRF heating & cooling and centralised ventilation systems throughout the building. Control of the lighting, AV and VRF heating & cooling systems in each apartment is through a Crestron® control and automation system, allowing full remote control via iPad.
Key challenge: To meet contractual obligations for the sale of the refurbished apartments a condensed procurement and construction programme was developed, which required the building to be surveyed and full design of M&E Services to all 28 apartments to be completed within six weeks.
Working closely with the Residential Land Marketing Team and Architect, Solution:Positive completed the full design of Mechanical & Electrical Services on programme, which enabled the project to be completed from start to finish in just 10 months.
